Training Programs for Just $1… An Example

June 19th, 2009

Can You Really Get a Training Program for Just $1?

How often have you seen this? Just pay a measly $1 and we’ll give you all this FREE stuff. Surely you can afford $1. You are serious about your internet business aren’t you?

What’s the Catch?

Here’s one example –

Ryan Deiss and Perry Belcher want to BRIBE you! At least they are honest about it. You have to give them credit for that. Their approach is typical of this marketing strategy. You might even want to use that strategy yourself someday.

Here’s the Catch

I Understand that I pay just $1.00 today for access to 43 Split Tests, Google Friendly Landing Pages, The Perpetual Launch Model, and Sneaky Little Email Marketing Tricks PLUS a free 30 day trial to Total Access Club.

I further understand that I will be billed $97.00 per month for continuing access to TAC if I do not cancel within the 30 day trial period.

You Decide …

If you really want the FREE stuff, spend that $1. But mark your calendar for the 27th day and CANCEL before you are charged $97. On the other hand, if you like what they have to say and you can afford $97/month, then give that a try.

Of course you will be added to their mailing list if you are not already on it. So you can expect to hear from them again after you spend that $1.

Web Business Coaching – Recommended

June 16th, 2009

I HAD to tell you about this opportunity …
                (But Hurry!)

As you know, it’s not often that I am so enthusiastic about an opportunity that I can’t wait to tell you. Well, this is one of those rare times because the price is very affordable, you can cancel any time, it’s being offered by Jim Daniels, and I’m using it myself.

But this opportunity closes June 19 so I wanted to get it to you right away.

Need Help? (No Launch, No Hype, Just Help!)

Need to find a way to earn some income from the web? If so, you may not need the latest product or service being "mega-launched." Maybe all you need is a little personal help from someone doing it. Someone like Jim Daniels.

You can get personal coaching for only $39.95/month – Click Here!

There’s only one catch …

This is sort of an "anti-launch" event, so enrollment will last only a few days. (You’ll understand why when you see the site.)

If nothing else, come by for the special FREE Info-Product Formula and FREE Silver membership.    Click Here!

To your success,

What’s Up with All the PayPerClick PPC Products?

June 16th, 2009

PPC Blitz

Have you noticed that we’ve been blitzed with PPC products in the last month or so? PPC Classroom 2.0, PPC Bully 2.0, Get Money from Google, etc., etc. etc. If you decided to try any of these, let us know how it went.

PPC War Chest

PPC means that if someone clicks on your ad, you owe Google, Yahoo, or other sponsored search whether or not that someone bought anything from you, and your credit card will be charged. If you decide to try Google Adwords, Yahoo Sponsored Search, Miva, etc., etc., etc., you need to have several hundred to several thousand dollars that you are prepared to lose. With that amount of money, you have a sufficient war chest to learn how to conduct a successful ad campaign.

Note that your credit card may also be charged based on the amount you spent the previous month before the next month starts. In other words, the sponsored search agent wants to make sure there is money in you PPC account so they may charge you in advance just because your account is running below what they anticipate you will spend in the future.

Don’t Bleed Your Bank Account Dry with PPC

Keep in mind that you will be setting up a credit card account and your card will be charged for the clicks. So one of the first things you want to learn is how to stop a campaign that isn’t going well to stop bleeding money. I would advise against any PPC program that doesn’t teach you how to do this right at the beginning.

You Can Succeed at PPC …

It’s obvious that someone (besides Google) is making money running successful Adwords campaigns. You can too. Choose your teacher wisely. PPC Classroom costs about $97/month and PPCBully (if you can still get in) costs about $1500. PPC Classroom aims to sign you up to a membership site. PPC Bully gives you the option to join a membership site for about $48/month in addition to purchasing the use of the software. I don’t know about the other options for learning PPC.

If You Are Prepared

PPC is a standard method for getting traffic to a website. You just have to have a pretty good handle on how to do it. The reasons I don’t recommend PPC for newbies is the initial war chest cost, the cost of an instructor ( including monthly membership fee), and the steep learning curve. If you are prepared for all that, then I can recommend PPC to you without feeling bad about it.

30 Day Challenge Preseason Starts Today

June 8th, 2009

If you are interested in a lot of FREE training, the 30 Day Challenge Preseason is starting at 8:30 pm eastern US today. I highly recommend 30DC to newbies who want to get a start in internet marketing. If that’s you, I think you will get a lot out of it.

Even if you are passed the newbie stage (meaning you are actually making a net profit in your online business), I think you will find a lot of useful information in 30DC, and freebies and discounts that will probably make it worth your while to tune in for the course.

I’ve recommended the 30DC several times before and I’d like to know if you found it helpful for getting off the ground in starting your online business (or at least entertaining). Your comments are welcome.

ZeroTo500 Final Update – Not Recommended

May 7th, 2009

 Nothing Happening at ZeroTo500

This will be my last update on Eric Graham’s ZeroTo500 internet marketing course because

A. the program went dead at week 2, which by the way started and ended about 5 weeks late,

B. no response from Eric Graham or his support, and

C. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge for the product.

Dispute the Charge

If you used a credit card to purchase this program and are having trouble getting a refund, do this.

Call the Customer Service telephone number on the back of your credit card or found on your monthly statement, and tell them you want to dispute the charge, most likely listed as Graham Advantage. Explain the situation to them and they will most likely credit the charge and start an investigation.

You might also find a telephone number for Graham Advantage listed on your credit card statement. No answer when I called.

Where is Eric?

I don’t know what happened to Eric Graham. Maybe he got sick in which case he should have informed us. Or maybe something more serious happened to him. If you know, please post a comment.

Freelance Home Writers Review

April 17th, 2009

The Most Important Question

Are you determined to be a freelance writer?

Can you make a living freelancing? Yes you can. Is it easy? No it’s not. If you were looking for something easy, keep looking.

But if you like to write and do research, you don’t mind bidding for writing assignments, and you desparately want to get paid to for what you write, this could be just what you are looking for. And, who knows, it just might get easier and more profitable for you the more you do it.

Freelance Home Writers By Any Other Name

If you’ve been looking for a home-based business that you can run via the internet, you’ve probably come across ads for Freelance Home Writers. There are several different ads that all lead you to Freelance Home Writers. For example, one ad might say you can make money typing, another might say here’s a great business you can run from home. Whichever ad you respond to, you end up there.

[Can't show you a picture because the copyright says, "This information can not be reproduced, copied, or retransmitted in anyway." And, in case you didn't know, that includes pasting a screen capture  of the web page.]

A Home Study Course with a Twist

Freelance Home Writers is basically a home study course with a twist. The twist is a program you can use to find freelance writing jobs. "Our job finding software crawls the entire internet through literally tens of thousands of job postings and filters out only the most lucrative writing jobs."

7 Day Trial for $2.95, $47/Month Thereafter

7 days should be enough time for you to decide if you want to continue. The key is, if you sign up for the 7 day trial, put all you effort into it. My experience is that you can work through all the material in less than 7 days if you focus. They will be pretty prompt in charging $47 to your credit card when the 7 days is up.

Armand Morin’s new CBClicks for Clickbank

March 27th, 2009

I‘m just testing this out. You might want to take a look to see if it’s something that interests you. You have to sign up for an account but it’s basically FREE.

Sign up for CBClicks ... FREE

In essence it’s sort of like Adsense but for Clickbank products. You insert CBClicks code on your website and it displays Clickbank products for which you could get paid if someone buys from your link. That’s all I know at this point.

You design the code to fit your website using the tools provided at CBClicks.com. Here’s what you will see – and what I used to design the ad that appears below. And the banner above came from the Marketing Tools menu on the CBClicks website.

If I can do this, I think you can too. You might even get paid by Clickbank!

WARNING: eMillionaire – NOT RECOMMENDED

March 18th, 2009

A 7 Day Trial Sounded OK

I signed up for a 7 day trial of this product on February 13 so I could evaluate it and advise you about it. It didn’t take me long to see that the product was worthless.

First Cancellation Request Ignored

So on February 17 I made my first attempt to cancel the account. Now one of the characteristics of a scam is that it is difficult to cancel an account and especially to get a refund. My cancellation request was ignored. But I didn’t know that until I got my next credit card statement on March 17.

Credit Card Charged $47

My credit card was charged for a recurring monthly payment of $47. Yikes!

Second Cancellation Request Ticketed

I called again to cancel the account and to demand a refund. And I was once again assured that my account was cancelled and the charge to my account would be reversed. They wouldn’t send another email confirmation and instead told me to make out a ticket at customerproductsupport.com. Then they sent me an email in response the ticket I filed telling they needed me to call and give them the information that I had already given them twice. I’m not holding my breath, but I did …

Dispute the Charge !!!

Call the customer service department at the number listed on your credit card and dispute the charge. Might also be called the Claims Department. The fact that the vendor ignored your cancellation and refund requests may be sufficient for the card company to reverse the charge.

Visit the Complaints Board

Go to the ComplaintsBoard and search for emillionaire, or other vendor to see if complaints have been filed about them. Then choose wisely. emillionaire may also be known as googlepayday, googlecash, or some variant of google. Maybe Google should look into internet marketers using their name.

Sometimes I ignore my own advice – if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

PS For your protection, the only clickable link in this sad story is the one to the ComplaintsBoard and the link to Google Notebook.

The Rest of the Story …

I didn’t mean for this post to go on and on, but if you are interested, here’s more details of what happened to me. Read the rest of this entry »
